The CPI (Maoist) Ghumusar division, active in the State’s southern districts, has given a call for bandh on Wednesday in three districts. The shutdown has been called in the districts of Kandhamal, Rayagada and Gajapati, according to the banners and posters put up at some places by the Maoists.
The police meanwhile seized some Maoist publicity material at Kotagarh in Kandhamal district.The bandh will be observed demanding withdrawal of Central forces like CRPF and police camps and a halt in the combing operations in the three districts.
