Maoist supporter arrested

Maoist supporter and supplier of explosives Karamdayal Munda was nabbed by lohardaga police on Sunday. SP Manoj Ratan Chothe at a Press conference said, “Under the leadership of SDPO AS Rijwi and police force CRPF a search operation was conducted on Sunday. Police arrested Karamdayal Munda, the Maoist supporter and the supplier of explosives who was in Badi village of Senha block.”

During interrogation, he told to the police that he had kept some explosives near Anganbadi centre. Police found 175 pieces of detonators, 25 metre cortex wire, a pressure cooker and 34 pieces of large sized canes . SP said, “Munda used to supply explosives to the Maoists for a long time especially to Madan and Nakul Yadav. During election hours he supplied them rice and eatables.” 

Police are investigating the matter and collecting minute details. Police also appealed to the utensil sellers not to give cane to anyone in large number. In search operation, PK Pandey of CRPF, Senha thana-in-charge and district police did a commendable job.
