It seems the Maoists are trying to spread their wings to other districts where they had no major presence earlier. Maoist posters were found in the Patnagarh area of Balangir district triggering panic among the local villagers on Tuesday.
According to sources, Maoist posters with various demands issued by the BBM Maoist Division were found on the Kantabanji-Padmapur road at Gangasagar village, about two km from Patnagarh.
Maoist banners were also found on the main gate of a school at the village. The posters in red cloth are written in Hindi language.
Getting information, Patnagarh police reached the spot, seized the posters and have started investigation, whether the posters are genuine or it is the handiwork of some mischievous elements.
