The Border Security Force (BSF) seized huge cache of arms and explosives from a Maoist hideout in Bandhugaon area.
After getting intelligence report on Thursday, a joint raid made by Kumbhariput and Kumbhikota 118 Battalions of BSF troops between the dense forests of Jarpa and Hulki under Bandhugaon police station busted the hideout of the ultras. The Maoist fled taking the advantage of the difficult terrain leaving the arms.
Among the articles seized included two single barrel mouser loading (SBMl) rifles, 14 kg of potash, electric detonator, 75 metre flex wire, 7 meter cordex wire, 24 cordex caps, a big knife, a big torch, batteries, steel and iron containers, medicines and a first aid box, apart from lots of explosive materials.
The combing operation continued till Thursday evening.
