Security personnel conducted a raid and busted a Maoist camp at the Gandhamardan Hills in Harishankar of Balangir district on Saturday.
Acting on an intelligence input that Red rebels had congregated at the Gandhamardan Hills, a team of Special Operations Group (SOG) and the district police raided and busted the camp, which had been set up for training purposes. The security personnel seized explosives and other items used by the Maoists, but no arrests could be made.
Sources said the ultras present in the camp must have got prior information of the police raid and fled from the spot.
