Many BJD leaders of Sukinda and Dharamsala in Jajpur district along with hundreds of their supporters on Sunday joined the BJP trusting the leadership of Narendra Modi.
Sukinda ‘s well-known BJD leader Pradeep Balsamant (Tutu Bal) accompanied by hundreds of his supporters came in a huge procession to the BJP State headquarters here and formally joined the saffron party.
Sukinda sarpanch Mandakini Sethi, Samiti member Rajani Nayak, Ampolaba sarpanch Babi Behera and former sarpanch Sanjib Puhan, Kansa sarpanch Rabindra Sahu and many other leaders along with their supporters joined the BJP led by Balsamant.
Similarly, led by Surendra Panda, Dharamsala constituency’s Rasulpur gram panchayat samiti member Biswanth Panda, reputed Dalit leader Gayadhar Mallick, UNS College former student council president Biswaranjan Panda and Bapin Biswal and many others joined the party. Odisha Khet Mazdoor Kissan Parishad State president Gadadhar Mishra, Mayurbhanj district president Banamali Panda and Baleswar district president Harekrushna Dasand, hundreds of workers joined the BJP.
BJP State president Basanta Panda and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan welcomed the new members with bouquets. Among others, BJP State vice-president Sameer Mohanty and Padmapur MlA Pradip Purohit were present.
