Many national level leaders, including Chief Ministers of Bihar and West Bengal, are scheduled to join birth centenary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik to be held onMarch 5 at Paradip.
The Biju Memorial Trust, which has been celebrating the birthday of the late leader, informed reporters at Paradip that the event would not be a party programme but solely a memorial meeting of Biju lovers.
“We have invited many national level leaders, the Governor and the Chief Minister of Odisha to grace the mega function. We have written to leaders like Nitish Kumar, Sharad Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav even though we have not received their consents,” said Paradip MlA and Minister Damodar Rout.
The Trust has also planned to construct a ‘Biju Minaar’ for which the foundation stone would be laid on the occasion.
A short telefilm on Bijubabu’s speech and visit to various places would also be screened at the programme.
