Vigilance cops on Friday conducted raids on unauthorised nursing homes, clinics and diagnostics laboratories at different places in the city.
The raids were conducted on the allegation for operating without valid licences, nonrenewal of licences and deposit of the required registration and renewal fees and not adhering to the guidelines of the Odisha Clinical Establishment (Control and Regulation) Act, 1990.
During the raid, it was revealed SRl Diagnostic Private limited in Goutam Nagar here is operating without any licence from 2011. Sanket Clinic and laboratories in IRC Village and KP Clinic and laboratories in Bapuji Nagar are also operating without any licences.
Similarly, Panda Nursing Home Private limited in Press Colony, Unit-III is operating without registration after it was cancelled by DMET. Seva Clinic on VIP Road, Acharya Vihar is also operating without valid licence from.
Bhubaneswar Medical Research Institute and Nursing Home, Dr Mittal Clinic, Durga Diagnostic and Balabhadra Hospital and Research Centre at Sahid Nagar were found closed since long.
The remaining 13 nursing homes and laboratories have applied for renewal of their licences by depositing the required fees. The Vigilance is moving the Khordha Collector as well as DMET to the take legal action against the guilty nursing homes and diagnostic laboratories.
