State in-charge of BJP Arun Singh on Tuesday claimed that many leaders of the ruling BJD and main Opposition Congress in the State are in touch with the BJP to join the saffron party.
“Many prominent leaders of the BJD and the Congress are very much interested to join the BJP. You can’t imagine that so many influential leaders of both the parties are interested to join the BJP. They feel suffocated in their respective parties,” said Singh, adding that they would join the saffron party very soon.
Refusing to divulge more on it, Singh said these leaders have expressed their trust on the governance and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Reacting to Singh’s claim, BJD spokesperson Pratap Kesari Deb, however, said his party knows nothing about it. “Rather, many leaders of the BJP are in touch with the BJD for joining the party,” Deb claimed.
PCC president Jayadev Jena also asserted that nobody from his party would join the ‘communal’ BJP at any cost.
