A large number of Antodaya, Arnnapurna and BPl families of Bargarh district have been excluded from the NFSA beneficiaries’ list while affluent ruling BJD leaders and workers have managed to obtain ration cards, alleged many.
The allegation looks genuine as a very big number of people belonging to BPl families and Antodaya and Arnapurna beneficiaries are making bee lines at the district Collector’s office here to submit applications for NFSA inclusion.
“I am an Antodaya beneficiary and getting 35 kg of rice free of cost. But my name has not been included in the NFSA list,” lamented Sita Bhua of Turunga village, who had come to submit an complaint.
Murali Tandi of the same village too made a similar allegation.
The Nagarika Committee of Bargarh has urged the district Collector to cancel ineligible ration cardholders and make a list of eligible beneficiaries.
