Apprehending arrest in SUM Hospital fire tragedy that has claimed lives of 27 persons so far, hospital owner Manoj Ranjan Nayak’s wife Saswati Das and sister Arati Nayak on
Wednesday moved the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail.
Though the Khandagiri police were asking Saswati, Arati and two other trustees of the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandahan Charitable Trust, to cooperate in the ongoing investigation process, but they are yet to turn up.
The lookout Circular (lOC) notice issued against Saswati is still in force.
Meanwhile, sources said the police are in process to issue summons against the duo for appearance.Notably, Manoj is now in judicial custody. His bail plea hearing would take place on Thursday.
