With a few days left for the retirement of Chief Secretary GC Pati, the State Government has effected a major reshuffle in senior IAS officer level on Friday.
As per the notification issued by the General Administration Department, 1985 batch officer Gagan Kumar Dhal was posted as the new Tourism and MSME Principal Secretary, 1986 Suresh Mahapatra was appointed as Forest and Environment Principal Secretary. He would also continue as the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration Chief Administrator. GAD Department Principal Secretary GVV Sarma of the same batch was given additional charge of Higher Education Department.
Rajesh Verma of the 1987 batch is now new Energy Department Principal Secretary. And 1988 batch officer and Rural Development Principal Secretary PK Mohapatra was given additional charge of SRC and OSDMA MD.
Revenue Department Principal Secretary Mona Sharma (1989) was also given additional charge of Excise Department while 1990 batch Manoj Ahuja was posted as Agriculture and Cooperation Principal Secretary
and Industries Principal Secretary Sanjeev Chopra of the same batch was made Idco Chairman and Ipicol CMD.
While Sanjay Kumar Singh (1997) was named as the new Idco MD and OCAC CEO, 1999 batch officer Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma was appointed as RDC Southern division.
Similarly, 2001 batch IAS Shalini Pandit was posted as the new NRHM MD and 2004 batch officer Roopa Mishra named as the new labor Commissioner and ESI Director.
Besides, 2003 BATCH IAS Anil Samal was posted as Angul Collector and NB Jawale of the same batch was named as Director Special Projects and also Tourism and OTDC MD. OAS officer Pramod Das was posted as Baleswar Collector.
