Sociopolitical leader and chairman of Smt Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT) Suparno Satpathyon Wednesday upbraided Dhenkanal Collector Roopa Roshan Sahoo on the insensitivity shown to the aggrieved people who had visited the latter’s office to lodge their complaints in her Public Grievance (PG) Camp held on Tuesday.
In a polite yet firm letter, Satpathy stated that dignity, sensitivity and compassion towards the aggrieved should be paramount while holding such PG Camps. Otherwise, the spirit of holding such a camp is utterly defeated, he added.
Many who visited the PG Camp had come from far-off places of the district told this reporter that during the camp there was inadequate seating arrangement and no chair was provided to them while all the Government officials were comfortably seated. Every aggrieved person was made to stand and place his or her grievance. Even senior citizens were not spared from this ignominy.
