A woman from Manipur on Thursday lodged an FIR against an army officer at the Mahila police station here alleging that she was cheated by the officer. The woman alleged that Colonel AN Singh, who now works at Sambalpur NCC office, during his posting in Manipur promised her to marry after the death of his first wife.
“Even he kept physical relation with me. But after his transfer from Manipur to Sambalpur NCC office, he maintained distance. He didn’t even attend my telephone calls. Finally, I met the SP here for justice,” said the woman.
Sambalpur SP AK Singh directed SDPO BN Gagarin Mohanty and Mahila police station IIC Banashree Routray for inquiry. Meanwhile, the family members of the army officer refuted the allegations of the Manipuri woman.
