The Manav Adhikar Surakhya Manch Ghanta Yatra (cymbal beating rally) demanding permanent solution of the problems of the MKCG Medical College Hospital entered its 65th phase here on Monday.
The Manch submitted a memorandum to Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena demanding functioning of the super-specialty departments, opening Geriatric Department for senior citizens.
They also demanded that the Minister direct the medicine stores in the medical premises to provide 15-per cent price off as per the State Government directions and taking action against the violators and identifying the middlemen in the hospital and take strict action against them.
Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya said it is high time that the hospital was made free from the middlemen; and if the Government does not take any steps on their demands, they would intensify their protest in coming days.
