The Manav Adhikar Surakhya Manch’s mass agitation demanding permanent solutions of the problems of the MKCG Medical College and Hospital has reached the 12th week.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Sashtri Jayanti, a procession was taken out and it reached the hospital, after which discussion were held with patients and their relatives on the problems affecting them.
The Manch’s demands include immediate functioning of a trauma care department, installing CT scan and digital X-Ray machine, a separate ICU Department and Gaeriatric Department for senior citizens and to stop embezzlement of user fee funds.
Among others, Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya, Bansidhar Bhuyan, Maguna Nahak, Kali Das, Rabindra Kumar Nayak, Maheswar Badatiya, Parsuram Sahu, Gauri Shankar Mohanty and Sukanta Gauda were present.
