The Manav Adhikaar Protection's regional office was opened here on Sunday. Jagadguru Swami Arupananda Maharaj inaugurated the office and lauded the efforts of the body in ensuring protection of human rights of the underprivileged and people exploited in various sectors.
Noted social activist Namrata Chadha joined the programme and urged the office-bearers of the body to open its branches in every district of the State. The organisation would play a vital role in providing protection, shelter and social security to the destitute, including deprived women, elderly persons and children, said president Indira Dash.
Many social activists from various places participated in the function. Among others, Khordha district president Sutra Chakrobarti and Member Secretary of the Odisha State Council for Child Welfare Sanjukta Mohanty were present.
