BJD general secretary Manas Mangaraj has been appointed Advisor to the State Government for Media and Public Relations.
A dynamic youth leader, Mangaraj joined the BJD after quitting the Congress last year. He was in charge of the BJD’s relations with the media during the last general elections.
Before entering politics, Mangaraj had worked as a journalist with distinction.
Following his new assignment, Mangaraj said he is thankful to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the responsibility the latter has entrusted him with. He would strive to resolve the problems of the journalists and media houses, he added.
