In a tragic incident, a man and his son were killed after a car in which they were travelling skidded off road and overturned near Satasankha in Puri district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the accident took place when three persons of the family hailing from West Bengal were travelling towards Puri in an Innova SUV.
The driver of the ill-fated car lost control over the wheels near the Uttarayani temple near Satasankha, as a result of which the vehicle dashed against a culvert and turned turtle.
While the father-son duo, identified as Manoj Kumar Dey (46) and Mirzanka (10), died on the spot, Dey’s wife sustained grievous injuries and was admitted to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
