Three bike-borne unidentified miscreants on Sunday shot at a person, identified as Raju Nag of the town, at the hospital square here when he was going to the hospital for a check-up of his wife.
The miscreants came in a bike and started firing at Nag. When Nag fell down on the road, the miscreants fled from the spot. After getting information from the local people, Balangir town police rushed to the spot and started an investigation into the incident. The police found two khokas from the spot. It is suspected that the miscreants used country-made pistol in the firing case. Previous enmity might be the reason behind the murder, said police.
