A man and his second wife were put in jail as the duo misbehaved with the first wife in Sundargarh.
Sources said Sripati Kishan (35), a resident of Kudkabahal village under Dharuadih police station in the district had married Belamati Kishan(26), eight years ago. The couple has a 7-year-old son. A year ago, Sripati married Imita Bhoi (22), a resident of Chowkipada Sripati. After knowing about the second marriage, when the family members and the people of his caste protested, Sripati left Sundargarh along with his second wife and stayed in Jharsuguda.
On Thursday evening, Sripati and Imita reached their village and tried to enter his house where his first wife Belmati and his son are staying. While Belmati protested, a scuffle took place and in a fit of rage, Imita bared Belmati by pulling off her saree.
After the incident, Belmati lodged a complaint against the duo at Dharuadih police station. On Friday, Dharuadih police, after registering a case, arrested both Sripati and Imita and forwarded them to court.
