A bigamist husband and his second wife committed suicide on Saturday night at Haripur under the Patkura police limits following a family quarrel.
The police on Sunday seized the bodies of the couple and sent them for autopsy at the District Headquarters hospital here, informed Patkura police station IIC Jyoti Ranjan Gauda. The deceased were identified as Narayan Das (35) and Puja (25). Narayan, who was a mason, had married Puja of Gadakujanga village about two years back though he had his first wife and two children. Most of the time, there were quarrels between Narayan and Puja. On Saturday, they, after taking dinner, went to bed at their thatched house. On Sunday morning, they were found dead as they had committed suicide by taking pesticide. The police suspected that both might have quarreled with each other before ending their lives.
