laikera police on Monday arrested Biswajit Meher on charges of killing his wife Susmita Meher of Bhuliadih under laikera police limits for dowry. IIC S Mishra informed Susmita (23) died under mysterious circumstances on Sunday morning at the district headquarters hospital at Jharsuguda. The deceased’s father and her family alleged that she was poisoned by her in-laws for dowry. The deceased has a one-year-old girl child. Biswajit was booked under Sections 498 A, 304 B, 34 IPC and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and forwarded him to court the same day.
