In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his wife after she killed their five-year-old daughter and injured two-year-old son with a billhook at Biriguda village under Biralaxmanpur panchayat in Malkangiri district on Monday.
According to reports, Bati Khara, being in an inebriated state, hacked her daughter Anjali and son Arjun while her husband laxman Khara was not present at home.
While Anjali died on the spot, Arjun sustained critical injuries and has been hospitalised.
After laxman came home and enquired about tsshe matter, his wife confessed to committing the brutal act, following which a heated exchange of words ensued between the two.
losing his cool, laxman hit Bati’s head with a cudgel, killing her on the spot. On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation.
