: A man allegedly killed himself after his wife committed suicide over a family feud at Baliapadar village under Boipariguda block of Koraput district on Thursday.
The deceased couple was identified as Jinu Parija and his wife Rukmani.
As per reports, the couple had a conflict over a trivial matter which led to a heated exchange between them on Wednesday. Following the incident, Rukmani locked herself in a room. When she didn’t come out of the room for a long time, the family members broke open the door and found that Rukmani had hung herself to death.
Jinu was crestfallen after the incident. Later, he was discovered hanging from a tree by the villagers on Thursday morning. Getting information, Boipariguda police reached the spot and started an inquiry into the incident after sending the bodies for postmortem.
