A 40-year-old man allegedly killed his younger brother at village Nilambarpur under the Badachana police station in Jajpur district on Friday.
“Manmanth Nayak (30) was hacked to death by his elder brother Dilip Nayak (40) in the house. Manmanth died on the spot. Family dispute is said to be the reason behind the murder. The exact cause of the hostility between them is being investigated,” said IIC of Badachana police station RK Sahoo. The police seized the body and a blood-stained spear from the spot and sent the body to the district Government hospital for autopsy. The accused managed to flee from the village after killing his brother. The police are raiding several hideouts to arrest him.
