a person was found dead with his throat slit and private parts cut off in a house in the district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Bijay Singh (40.)
Bijay, a resident of Kesura village in Jamudiha panchayat under the Nilgiri police station, was alone at his home as his wife and two daughters had left for his in-laws’ house at Sajanagarh.
The incident took place on Friday night when he was sleeping at his home.
After Bijay did not open door in the morning, his neighbours informed his family. They broke open the door and found him lying in a room in a pool of blood.
Prima facie, it appears that the assailants brutally killed him by slitting his throat and mutilated his genitals.
But the motive behind brutal killing is yet to be ascertained. Police are investigating into the incident.
