Tension ran high at Bolasara village under the Kabisuryanagar police limits in Ganjam district after a man was killed in mass attack on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Surendra Biswal. According to sources, as many as 15 people brutally attacked Biswal causing his death.
Though the exact reason behind the attack was yet to be known, past enmity between the assailants and the deceased was suspected to have caused the incident, sources added.
Being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and started investigation. Efforts were being made to nab the attackers, police sources said.
