A case has come to the fore here in the Nikirai police limits in which an old man faced the wrath of his alcoholic son and sustained injuries as his son assaulted him with a bamboo stick after he denied to provide money to him for consuming liquor. According to police, Bimbali Sahu, a resident of Benipur lodged an FIR at the Nikirai police station alleging that her son Pramod Kumar Sahu attacked her husband Narendra Kumar Sahu in a fit of rage.Even earlier, Pramod had driven his father from the house as the latter refused to provide him Rs 50,000 for business purpose. Locals had intervened and amicably settled the matter. Police have registered a case and are conducting an inquiry into the matter, informed Nikirai police station IIC Kalandi Behera.
