Villagers blocked the National Highway-60 at Mirigumundi here following an accident in which a 65-year-old man died after being run over by a police vehicle on Monday. The deceased was identified as Bhagwan Dhal.
The locals demanded adequate compensation for Dhal’s family.
In another such incident, a 22-year-old man died at Natapata in Khaira area after he was hit by a dumper. The deceased was identified as Pramod Patra of Keonjhar district. Locals blocked the road here too.
