The Sundargarh Town police on Wednesday arrested and court-forwarded one Gautam Behera (25) of Sargipali on the charge of threatening to kill Dr Manoj Panigrahi of Sundargarh Government Hospital while impersonating himself as a Pahadi Chita member.
Gautam was working as a driver of Dr Panigrahi. He had once brought her wife to Dr Panigrahi for treatment. When the doctor referred her to the IGH at Rourkela, Gautam insisted that she be treated at the Sundargrh Government Hospital. As Dr Panigrahi didn’t agree, Gautam got angry and quit his job as the doctor’s driver. later, he made the threat call through a new SIM number identifying himself as a Pahadi Chita member on September 13, police said.
Dr Panigrahi had lodged an FIR in this regard.
