The Gurundia police in Sundargarh district on Wednesday arrested and court-forwarded a man for allegedly killing his wife and seven-month-old son on November 22. Sources said one Susant Singh (32) of Jada village had married to one laxmi Singh (25) of the same village about two years ago. They parented a male child about seven months ago.
On Friday afternoon, some villagers found that the bodies of laxmi and her son floating inside a well. laxmi’s father Karan Singh lodged an FIR with the police, alleging that his daughter and grandson were killed by Sushant Singh and his mother Mana Singh. Arrested Sushant confessed that he had killed his wife and son and threw them into a well.
