The Sundargarh Sadar police have registered a case against one laxmikant Bhainsal (30) of Panchamahala village for allegedly killing his wife by setting her ablaze on Tuesday.
laximikant had married his fellow villager Sukumari Dhar about two years ago. As per an FIR lodged by Sukumari’s mother Jashobanti Dhar, laxmikant used to torture Sukumari demanding dowry. Both were recovered in half burnt conditions from their home on Tuesday afternoon and were rushed to hospital. Sukumari succumbed to her burn injuries on the midnight.
