The Town police after registering a case of unnatural death began an investigation into the seizure of a charred body of a 37- year-old person under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased was identified as Mahendra Singh, a native of Tilaknagar, Allahabad of UP. Reports said that Singh was working in a private patho lab company as an area manager and was residing in a rented house with family including wife and two children at Chunbhati. Recently, his wife along with children went to Allahabad to take certain exams.
The house owner and neighbours while saw smoke billowing out of the room, they called out Singh but got no response. They informed fire brigade as well as the police suspecting something fishy. The fire brigade personnel broke open the door and found the burnt body.
Although the exact cause of the mishap was yet to be ascertained yet the fire personnel observed that the fire could have occurred due to short circuit as the electrical cables and conduits were found burnt.
