The body of a newborn male child was surprisingly found in garbage on the side of the municipality drain in the busy Old Bus-Stand area here on Thursday morning.
Hundreds of passengers and passersby use this spot as urinal where the child’s body was lying.
Many suspected that someone threw the illegitimate child to the drain immediately after his birth perhaps to avoid community ire or police action.
Hundreds of passersby halted to see the pathetic scene. The whereabouts of the parents of the child are yet to be ascertained.
