Baripada Municipality has made serious lapses in maintaining sanitation of the headquarters town. long uncleaned drains have become mosquito breeding centres, causing malaria and other related diseases in the town.
The inhabitants of the town have demanded immediate steps by the civic body to clear the drains and undertake an anti-malaria drive.Further, it is noticed that only in Ward Number 5, the anti-malaria smokes are applied whereas in other 27 wards, nothing of the sort is done to tackle the spread of malaria.
