Police on Tuesday night took Bhagaban Sahu alias Bhalu, the main accused involved in the murder of Aska Congress MLA candidate Manoj Jena, on a two-day remand to elicit more information from him about the incident.
A group of miscreants had killed Jena on the National Highway at Lanjipalli after elections. Bhalu, who was found to be the main conspirator, had been arrested from Bhubaneswar recently.
BN Pur police station IIC Sarada Prasad Nanda had on Tuesday applied to the SDJM Court to take
Bhalu on a five-day remand. However, the court granted permission to the police to take him on a two-day remand.
