Odisha Stevedores limited (OSl) managing director Mahimananda Mishra’s nephew Chinmay Mishra on Sunday appeared before the Paradip police in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Seaways Shipping and logistics Private ltd (SSPl) general manager Mahendra Swain murder case.
However, OSl deputy general manager (Finance) Rabindra Dalei did not turn up for interrogation citing health reason. Instead, he deputed his lawyer and sought two months time to submit the documents as desired by the police.
On January 13, Mishra and Dalei had been summoned to appear before the investigating officer by Sunday for interrogation.
This is the second time Dalei appeared before the police in this connection. He had earlier appeared before the cops on January 10.
The investigators reportedly questioned him pertaining to the financial transactions of the company during the murder.
Mahimananda Mishra has been arrested over his alleged involvement in the murder which took place in Paradip on October 26 last year. He is now in three-day Madhupatna police remand for a bomb hurling case at Press Chhack in Cuttack in 2013.
