Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (PMCC) president Bijaya laxmi Sahoo on Saturday met Director General of Police (DGP) Prakash Mishra and submitted a memorandum to him regarding the police atrocity and illegal arrest of two men and 15 women of Badput by the Sarankul police.
Sahoo alleged that the Sarankul police arrested them while they were opposing the liquor business at their locality instead of ensuring security to them. “We urged the Government to facilitate their release from jail, failing which the Mahila Congress will take to street against the policy atrocity,” said Sahoo.
