The Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (OPMCC) has been reconstituted after approval by All India Mahila Congress Committee (AIMCC) president Sova Ojha.
Addressing a Press conference here, OPMCC president Sasmita Behera said the AIMCC has given importance to general, backward, dalit, tribal and minor community women in an appropriate manner in the State committee.
Five vice-presidents, 16 general secretaries, 27 secretaries, 17 working committee members and a treasurer have been appointed. A 33-member organisational committee would be formed later, said Behera.
The newly-formed committee would carry out activities to curb crimes against women, she added.
