Tourism and Culture Minister Maheswar Mohanty was seriously injured when miscreants opened fire at him near Amla Club here at about 10 pm when he was on his way to his house on his scooter.
He was first admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital here before being shifted to the Kalinga Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed deep concern over the incidents.
