Many BJD workers extended support to Independent candidate for the Mahanga Assembly seat Sarada Prasad Pradhan at a meeting held on Sunday at Chhatratota of Chahapada Panchayat under the constituency.
Former BJD district secretary and lalitagiri Panchayat Samiti member Rudranarayan Singh presided over the meeting ‘Swaviman Samabesha’.
Addressing the gathering, Singh sitting MlS and BJD candidate Pratap Jena stating Mahanga witnessed no developmental works in the last five years. “Jena has done nothing for Mahanga people. They (local BJD leaders) are only looting the people’s money,” Singh alleged. Alleging further that Jena has lost decency and is using nparliamentarily language at the people, Singh urged upon electors to vote for Pradhan.
Among others, former panchayat samiti member Ram Chandra Behera, Mahanga PS member Purna Chandra Mohapatra, former block chairmen Kishor Singh and Kulamani Baral and Anil Jena, Pradipta Bhuiyan and Ashok Biswal addressed the gathering.
