'Mahakud not our candidate for Champua'

The Keonjhar Yadav Mahasangh has opposed the all-Odisha Yadav Mahasngh’s president Asirbad Behera’s recent recommendation to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for nominating Sanatan Mahakud as the BJD candidate for the Champua Assembly constituency.

Mahasangha president Mitrabhanu Mahakud told at a Press meet at Joda that the District Yadav Mahasngh has not recommended name of Mahakud, nor is Mahakud anyway concerned with the Mahasangh’s activities. Thus Mahakud is not a consensus candidate of the Mahasangh and Behera has recommended the name of Mahakud for his own vested interest, said Mitrabhanu.

He threatened that if Behera did not withdraw his statement in support of Mahakud, a parallel Yadav Mahasngh opposing Behera would be formed.  Among others, who attended the meet were Mahasangh advisor Purusotam Das, State Yuva Yadav secretary Susanta Kumar Barik secretary, District Yadav Sangh vice president Shirish Chandra Giri and Joda Block Yadav Sangh president Bishnu Khilar.
