Monthly environment magazine Aajira Paribesha organised its first annual function at Balijhar here on Friday. Rajya Sabha member Baisnab Charan Parida attended the event as the chief guest while Prof Babaji Charan Pattanaik joined it as the chief speaker.
Magazine chief editor Sankhanada Behera presided over the meeting, which was also attended by senior journalist Biswanath Rout, industrialist Prahlad Chandra Behera and Rabi Swain. A State-level poets’ meet emphasising on environmental awareness was held on the occasion.
The function was jointly organised by the Coastal Odisha Eco Foundation, Bhumi Putra Multipurpose Cooperative Society and Biju Patnaik Industrial Workers’ Union.
