In order to provide legal services to rural people, a legal centre titled Madhubabu legal Aide Cell would be opened in each gram panchayat in the State from July 2016.
law Minister Arun Sahoo informed this in the State Assembly while replying to a question of BJD MlA Priyadarshi Mishra and supplementary questions put by other members.
“The main objective of the yojana is to make law of rule reach people in the grassroots level. The people can save money and time as availing legal services is cost effecting and time consuming,” the Minister said.
Sahoo further informed that the State Government has increased the lawyers’ Welfare Fund to `3 crore for the 2016-17 year.
