The Mayurbhanj unit of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) observed Vijaya Dashami and its 93-rd Foundation Day in its own distinct way. It organised a route march and a public meeting on the occasion.
In the afternoon, the Swayamsevaks, in their full uniform (Ganavesh), began their paramilitary-like route march from near the local Tulsichowra Saraswati Shishu Mandir and moving through Goshala Chhak, Jubilee Library and Sathya Sai Chhak reached the Chhow Padia.
There a public meeting was held under the chairmanship of RSS Mayurbhanj Zilla Sanghachalak Bharat Chandra Hansdah.
While Abhijit Ram was chief guest, Dharma Jagaran Samanwaya Samiti Zonal Organising secretary Vinay Kumar Bhuyan was chief speaker.
Bhuyan highlighted the importance of Vijaya Dashami and narrated the circumstances in which the RSS was born.
Besides RSS office-bearers and Swayamsevaks, prominent leaders of VHP, BJP and ABVP too attended the programme.
