The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch on Thursday seized a Mercedes-Benz car worth Rs 70 lakh from the possession of lenka after getting information from him during the interrogation.
lenka, who was maintaining a lavish lifestyle by visiting his home in Jagatsinghpur district by hiring a Pawan Hans helicopter, was sent to jail on June 8 for illegal money circulation and allegedly duping investors of Rs 500 crore in the State.
Before, EOW sleuths had seized an imported Jaguar car worth Rs 1.33 crore from the possession of AT Group CMD Sethi, who has been arrested and jailed.
Similarly, the sleuths had also seized a BMW car worth approximately Rs 50 lakh from another chit fund boss Seashore Group CMD and two cars worth Rs 1.2 crore from UHC MD Nayak.
