Younger brother and daughter of Congress leader lalatendu (lulu) Bidyadhar Mohapatra, who passed away recently, on Monday sufficiently indicated that they would enter politics to fulfil the dreams of their departed kin.
Most probably, lulu’s lalitendu Mohapatra would contest next elections from lulu’s Brahmagiri Assembly constituency as the Congress nominee.
“My brother was an uncompromising leader and always thinking about development of people. If I enter politics, I will follow his footprints,” said the departed leader’s brother lalitendu Mohapatra.
lalitendu and his niece (lulu’s daughter) Upasana met leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Narasingha Mishra, senior Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik and MlA Tara Prasad Bahinipati and some other MlAs of the party at Mohapatra’s residence at Unit VI here.
Neither PCC chief Prasad Harichandan nor any other party organisational functionary was present.
Upasana too stated that she would work to fulfil the dreams of her father. “My father had seen many dreams for development of people. We will work hard to fulfil his dreams,” she told reporters.
