The lulu Sena held a demonstration at Master Canteen Square here on Sunday demanding arrest and resignation of Brahmagiri MlA and BJD general secretary Sanjay Dasburma in connection with the posting of pictures of social activist linkan Subudhi in a website.
Sena activists alleged that Dasburma’s nephew was involved in the case. They said Dasburma had influenced police and used them as ruling party goons. He hushed up many sensitive matters including the doctor Madhabilata incident in Puri and the recent death of Sudarshan Swain in Chandanpur. They also alleged that the BJD leader is using the police to hush up the involvement of his nephew in the linkan Subudhi incident.
Earlier, linkan had alleged that her picture was misutilised and uploaded on a social website. She had also brought the matter to the notice of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who had assured stringent action against the guilty.
In its investigation into the sensitive matter, the Chandrasekhar police had arrested a youth, Mithun Sahu, basing on the complaint filed by linkan on May 29.
However, the matter again got a twist on Saturday, after linkan alleged that the accused who has been arrested is not the actual culprit.
At a Press conference, she demanded arrest of the real accused. Demanding a CBI probe, she has also questioned why BJD leader Dasburma came up with an explanation on the incident from his side.
