At a time when Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma is yet to come clean on his alleged link with tainted Artha Tatwa (AT) Group chit fund firm, senior Congress leader lalatendu Bidyadhar (lulu) Mohapatra on Friday fired a fresh salvo against the Minister, though not taking his name, alleging that he has taken money from another ponzi firm, Matrubhumi chit fund company.

“Rs 30 lakh has been transferred from the account number 31799607367 of the Matrubhumi chit fund company to the account of the Nilachal Builders. I want to know who owns the Nilachal Builders,” said Mohapatra, adding that the “concerned person” was the guest for the inauguration of the chit fund company.

Mohapatra alleged that a hotel in Puri, Holiday Resorts, was raided by the Election Commission before the 2014 general elections.

“During the raid a newspaper owner staying in the room was coming with money. Now, he is in jail. On what charges he was arrested and from whose account the hotel bill was paid,” asked Mohapatra.

Stating that two acres of Idco land was given to the Rix Technology Company just in front of the “concerned person’s” newspaper office, Mohapatra wanted to know the terms and conditions of land allotment and its leaseholder’s name.

Producing “documentary evidence” before media, the Brahmagiri political heavyweight said that in the 2011-12 academic year, a residential college was opened at Sonepur by producing forged documents while there was a guideline to deposit Rs 25 lakh for affiliation.

“The college ran for three years with 300 students. But it was shut down suddenly. I want to know that with whom the college was affiliated,” Mohapatra said.

In another allegation, Mohapatra charged that a patch of land was bought from a Harijan family on March 30, 2012 on the Sonepur town outskirts at the cost of Rs 50,000 while the market value was more than Rs 1 crore.

“Who has bought the land,” questioned Mohapatra. He also wanted to know that who was involved with the now defunct Rest Treatment Plant in Sonepur for which Rs 30 lakh is being coming yearly.

When asked that against whom he had made such allegations, Mohapatra said the “concerned man” would understand and served a two-day ultimatum to answer.
